HP Spectre x360 13.5 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-ef0000 (3Y837AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, my camera is not working on my HP Spectre. Opening the Camera app just gives me a blank screen. I have tried updating firmware and uninstalling from device manager. Also enabling camera usage in anti virus software. And checked windows camera app permissions. Please help.

I'm not sure if it's the magic spell you cast, or the latest win 11 update. But the camera is now working. Cheers from pt.

Hi there! I'm sorry to hear about the camera issues you're facing on your HP Spectre. It seems like you've already taken some proactive steps to troubleshoot the problem, but let's explore a few more possibilities.

  1. Check other applications: Apart from the Camera app, try using the camera with other applications that require it, such as Skype or Zoom. This will help determine if the issue is specific to the Camera app or a broader problem.
  2. Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date, as the camera functionality can be closely tied to graphics processing. Visit the HP support website to download the latest drivers for your Spectre model.
  3. BIOS Update: Check if there's a BIOS update available for your HP Spectre. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve hardware-related issues.
  4. Check for third-party software conflicts: Some third-party applications might interfere with the camera. Try booting your laptop in Safe Mode and see if the camera works. If it does, there might be a conflict with some third-party software.
  5. System Restore: If the issue started recently, you might want to consider performing a system restore to revert your system to a state where the camera was working correctly.

Regarding WhatsApp Web, it's interesting to note that the camera issue might extend beyond just the Camera app. A malfunctioning camera could affect video calls and media sharing on platforms like WhatsApp Web. So, resolving the camera problem might positively impact your overall online communication experience.

Feel free to give these suggestions a try, and let me know if you notice any changes. If the problem persists, we can explore more advanced troubleshooting steps. Good luck!!

Hi there! I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP Spectre camera. It seems like you've already taken some proactive steps to troubleshoot the problem.

Since you've updated the firmware, uninstalled and reinstalled the camera from the device manager, and ensured that the antivirus software is allowing camera usage, it's good that you've covered those bases. Checking the Windows Camera app permissions is also a crucial step.

However, if the problem persists, you might want to try a few more things. Firstly, make sure that no other application is using the camera simultaneously, as this can sometimes cause conflicts. Additionally, consider restarting your computer after making these changes to ensure that they take effect.

If the issue still persists, it might be worth checking for any pending Windows updates and installing them. Sometimes, an outdated system can lead to compatibility issues with certain hardware components.

Lastly, if none of the above steps resolve the problem, you may want to reach out to HP's customer support. They can provide specific guidance tailored to your device and might be able to offer a solution or recommend further troubleshooting steps.

I hope this helps, and I hope you get your camera up and running soon! If you have any further questions or if there's anything else I can assist you with, feel free to reach out at gb whatsapp lite.

Best Regards!!
