HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 15-cr0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i purchased this Hiaercool docking station from amazon to connect two additional monitors to my HP pavilion laptop. I previously connected 1 of these same monitors directly to the laptop via HDMI and it connected and extended without issue.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0831BJQ3Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The dock is not registering with Device Manager at all. I downloaded  and installed the DisplayLink driver to no avail. I have also updated the computer which has not changed anything either.

The dock is connected to the laptop via USB C cord which came with the dock box. The light on the dock stays blue, to my understanding it might change to green when it registers with the laptop but this has not happened.

Does anyone know how to fix this or if the dock simply will not work with this laptop?

Sorry to say, you did not do a research before open your wallet. You bought a NOT compatible dock. Before we can help, we need to know what EXACTLY is your HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 15-cr0xxx ? Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:

product number is 4BV59UA#ABA. i can see now my computer only supports data transfer on the USB C Port.

  1. Does any dock work with this model to use two or more monitors (with two HDMIs or two VGA inputs?)
  2. Would  USB C to HDMI converter fix this issue with the same dock?
  3. Are there docks which can connect to the computer via HDMI rather than USB C (since it appears i may not be able to use a USB C port)

Thanks,

Banhein, do you plan on responding or just insulting users "you did not do a research before open your wallet"?

This is only happening because HP has a USB C input that doesn't have full capability, unlike every other computer manufacturer, not because users dont know how to do research. HP wont even be explicit to state that its USB C input is data transfer only (instead of also allowing video and charging) so how are users supposed to know this?
