My HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15m-ed0xxx laptop hinges have completely detached upon a standard opening of the laptop. The hinges have detached and are cracking and harming the display more and more when I open or close the laptop screen. The screen is cracked in the bottom right corner of the laptop and is only going to get worse. This just happened today less than an hour ago. I'm hoping there's some sort of recall or reimbursement I can receive for this issue. I even reached out to a laptop repair store and they reported that this is a common mishap occurring in this specific consumer model of laptop. They mentioned it would be worth more to purchase a different laptop than to repair it because it will happen again considering he's speaking from experience with a prior client who had the same model of laptop with the same hinge issue. He mentioned that the display structure is simply too heavy and over time this sort of issue occurs due to poor display structure and that it is not the fault of my own that this occurred. I use this laptop for work and school and is my most prized possession so please someone reach back out and help.
