I have owned an HP 15 bs1xx for exactly two years (black Friday in 2017). It sits on a desk so it is rarely closed except when having to travel to the office (about once/month). Last month, I heard a crack when closing the lid. Now the screen comes off the display when closing the lid. Based upon the posts on the forum, this seems to be a known issue with HP laptops and how the hinges seize preventing the laptops from opening or closing without effort. I do not want to purchase another HP laptop if they are only going to last two years so hoping to find a way to resolve. Anyone know an easy way to replace the hinges on a fairly new laptop?
