HP Spectre x360 - 15-df1040nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I can't find any documentation on how to physically bend my notebook display to use it in tablet mode. I have an HP Spectre x360 - 15 - df1040nr. The only instructions I could find were not specific to this notebook; these instructions show how to swivel the display on a single point of connection, but I don't see how I can do that on this laptop. Am I supposed to bend the display all the way back? I don't want to force it and break something. I'd really appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks!

It is a x360 machine. It does not have a hardware lock to stop you to use tablet mode.  Please check the following link
