How do I pair my HP Pen with my Spectre Laptop

How do I pair my HP Pen with my Spectre Laptop?  I have charged the device, but I can't see a light anywhere to indicate if it is charged fully or not.  Also, I am unable to figure out how to set the pen in pairing mode.

- Did you receive the pen along with the Laptop or did you purchase it as an accessory? 

- Did you double tap the pen tip to active it on the screen of your laptop on an application it supports?
