I have a HP Victus 15.6 15-fa0666TX and it comes with a 200w charger standard. I am planning to go overlanding for a few months and I have to be able to charge my laptop on the go. The problem is, my car's charging socket is only rated at 120w, so I can't just buy a 200w car inverter and use it. I am guessing that would cause electrical issues, considering I have to live in the car for months in the wild that wouldn't be very good. The Victus can't be charged with USB C. And I am not sure if I can use 120w charger to charge the laptop, even then, considering losses I am not sure if a 120w car inverter would even output 120w of current. So, any affordable ideas and suggestions would be very helpful.
Also, please also help me understand, if I bought a 200w inverter and use a 120w charger, would that be okay to the charging socket or should I get the 120w inverter.
Thanks in advance.

I can't find its specs, it should have same ports as its sister HP Victus 15.6 15-fa0665TX:

Firstly you can't use USB-C charger to charge your machine, it ONLY has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate (DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port which does NOT support Power Delivery. I used to travel a lot on weekend with my private notebook, work notebook, cameras, video camera and few other AV devices. I uses 12V to 230V 500W
I did not have any problem after 4 years or so. I stopped that after my retirement late 2018.
Regards.
