Product: HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fc0000 (733M2AV)

I currently have a dell laptop connected to Dell P2722HE (with USB C) . I now have a new HP laptop but when I remove the cable from Dell laptop and try to connect HP laptop with Dell monitor, it does not work, Can you help me with this?

What is your HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fc0000 (733M2AV) machine ? It should have the following components list

 

               https://support.hp.com/ie-en/document/ish_7412013-7412050-16

 

which shows it has (1) USB 3.2 Gen 1.0 Type-C port; 5 Gbps signaling rate (data transfer only; charging or external monitors not supported) port.

 

Connecting USB-C monitor to its USB-C port won't work.If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter
