Hello community!
I'd like to connect an 180Hz monitor to my laptop but I don't know if it is possible... I guess that I can't do that through HDMI because I don't want 60Hz I want 180Hz.
Is it possible to connect a converter from my USB type C to Displayport? I don't know if my USB C could works with this kind of wire...

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06408059
It has following ports for video out:
- 1 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C™ (10 Gb/s signaling rate, Power Delivery 3.0, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port
- 1 HDMI port (the specs does not say which one but manual says it is a gen 2.0 port).
For DP 1.4 : https://cablenet.co.uk/news/detail/id/40
For HDMI 2.0 : https://www.cnet.com/tech/home-entertainment/hdmi-2-0-what-you-need-to-know/
Please note: refresh rate goes up resolution will go down and vice versa.
Regards.

Thank you very much for your answer. Just one more thing. According to that info, do you recommend me to use the USB type-C 3.1to a displayport or the HDMI?
No USB-C to HDMI won't get DP 1.4 specs
