When I'm trying to connect external monitor to my laptop either external or laptop monitor is working. My goal is to make them work together. I'm connecting with VGA cable. Probably HDMI is needed for it. Also Fn+F4 doesn't help, it just switches monitors.

My laptop:

OS: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (64bit)

CPU: AMD A10-4600M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics × 4

GPU: AMD ARUBA (DRM 2.50.0 / 4.15.0-46-generic, LLVM 6.0.0), Trinity [Radeon HD 7660G]

RAM: 6GB (4+2)

Thanks in advance,

Ashot

I finally found out the resolution. The problem was in VGA connection. Use HDMI and the problem would be fixed.
