Does this laptop support video out through the USB-C port. Apparently it comes with an adapter but I don't have the HP adapter that i read comes with the laptop. I have a USB-C to HDMI cable that is directional (USB-C to source/HDMI to monitor). Display setting won't detect the monitor. What am i missing? is it an issue with the cable vs. using an adapter? is it a HDMI ARC or lack of issue? what gives, this should work seamlessly. I'm about to try a new cable but i don't think it will matter. Any ideas? thanks

Its specs

Its USB-C port actually is a Thunderbolt™ 3 port which supports video OUT using a right/compatible adapter. This is a bit tricky, have you tried USB-C to DP adapter ?
In the long run, you can use USB-C Gen 5 (5TW10AA) dock to achieve FULLY compatible single cable option.
Regards.

Thank you for your response, i appreciate it. I didn't try a DP cable as my monitors only have hdmi. I will try to find where to buy the original adapter which comes with the laptop. can you please confirm which one it is? my next idea was to purchase the HP USB-C Dock G4 - Docking Station. would you know if it would be compatible. thanx

No, did I mention USB-C Gen 5 ? Please do not buy the G4 for your machine.
