Hi   @Techwizard87,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I hear your concern on how  it can be when your mouse cursor seems to disappear.Let’s work together to get this sorted out.

Could you please share your HP laptop’s exact model number?

In the meantime, here are few  steps you can try :

1.Enable Mouse Pointer Highlight

Windows has a feature to make the cursor easier to spot.

Press Windows key → type Mouse settings → Enter

Go to Additional mouse options

Under Pointer Options, check Show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key

Press Apply and OK

2.Adjust Pointer Size and Color

Increasing size or changing color makes the cursor more visible.

Go to Settings → Accessibility → Mouse pointer and touch

Choose a larger pointer size

Pick a contrasting color for better visibility

3.Update or Reinstall Touchpad/Mouse Drivers

Outdated drivers can cause cursor visibility issues.

Press Windows key + X → Device Manager

Expand Mice and other pointing devices

Right-click your touchpad/mouse → Update driver

If issue persists, choose Uninstall device and restart laptop

4.Check External Mouse Connection

If using a USB or Bluetooth mouse, connection issues may hide the cursor.

Reconnect USB mouse to a different port

For Bluetooth, go to Settings → Bluetooth & devices and re-pair the mouse

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
