I want to order a replacement screen / display and adhesive strips. I can properly remove the bezel and follow directions:
https://youtu.be/C2LZwkWNMYo?t=1536
How do I find the part number, or the number of pins for the connection?
I can't seem to find this on eBay or my own searching of the HP website.
I believe this is the product page:
https://www8.hp.com/us/en/laptops/product-details/product-specifications/34748826
Display specs:
16.1" diagonal FHD, 144 Hz, IPS, anti-glare, micro-edge, WLED-backlit, 300 nits, 72% NTSC (1920 x 1080)

Hi,
The part number for the screen is M02082-001
which you can find in the service manual for your notebook
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06646125.pdf
The part seems impossible to find. Not available in HP parts store
or online.
What you could try is to ask your nearest HP service center if they can purchase for you or if the PC is still under warranty you could contact HP support directly
https://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
or find a generic 16.1" with the correct pin layout (position and number)
Hope it helps,
David

To find the pin / connector, is it as simple as looking for "eDP" as in the manual Table 10-2 "Display Panel Interface" pg. 86?
I found a 16.1" screen online, but they talk about having a 40 pin connector. This one, I see it says not 144Hz compatible, so I don't know if it would work but at a slower refresh, or just not work at all?
