The HP pen I received with my HP Envy Notebook purchased last month does not match the pens shown in the HP tutorial videos, therefore I do not know how to pair this pen with my Notebook.  This pen has no name on its box, only a picture and a sticker showing HP P/N M23869-001 (this number does not appear in HP videos).  I have fully charged it with the USB C  cable provided.  When I try to pair it, it is not discoverable.  To make it discoverable I have tried holding down the eraser button (button closest to the pen tip) and also tried tapping the tip to the screen and also tried leaving it connected.  I have no past experience with using or setting up these pens.

Thanks for looking into this.  I presume you mean that once this particular pen is charged it just works perfectly as soon as it is charged and that there is no need to pair this kind of pen.  So I suppose I was wasting time trying to follow the videos showing different pens which do require the pairing.  I probably just need more practice now.

I think it is a newer stylus for new series therefore it is not on the video. It should come up automatically after fully charged. I don't know its part # does not appear on

I know machine should work with the following pens

Stylus (Sunwoda stylus active pen):

  •  In dark ash silver finish part # 920241-001
  • In natural silver finish part # 910942-001

Regards.
