I have a HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2xxx with AMD Ryzen 5 processor and trying to set up two external monitors.  I have tried several different adaptors such as HDMI splitter, USB-C docking stations (2 different ones), USB docking station with two HDMI inputs and NOTHING is working.. I updated and downloaded drivers from AMD and Nvidia and again nothing works!!!  I can link one monitor directly with the HDMI input on laptop and it works fine, but any time I'm trying to use an adaptor for two monitor inputs (both HDMI), it does not detect any monitor, not even one.  Please HELP!!! How do I set up two external monitors in addition to my laptop monitor??

If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (total 3), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter

Regards.
