HP TouchSmart 520-1020 Desktop PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have scoured the internet looking for instructions on how to use my HP TouchSmart 520-1020 Desktop PC as a monitor for my Xbox One gaming console.  I went into the control panel into display settings and there is no choice under the option to change display type from the Desktop PC.  I fail to believe that HP would make it so this cannot be used in monitor mode for a gaming console.  Anyone have a solution?

*I have the HDMI adapter to USB and tried plugging into all the USB ports and get an error message unable to locate driver.  I don't need a driver to use the PC as a monitor only.  There is a setting somewhere that should allow me to choose to change the display from a computer to monitor only.  There are no switches on the backside of this All-In-One.  My PC is a HP TouchSmart 520-1020 Desktop PC - NOT a Pavilion.

Thanks if anyone has good news for me ❤️

It does NOT have HDMI in port therefore you can't use it as a monitor for game consoles.

That is why I purchased an HDMI to USB conversion cable.  Can a USB port be an In port?
