  • Hello, I just bought an hp envy x360 16 with ryzen 7 processor and graphics. I have noticed that on any media player I use, a white or multi-colored bar appears for a brief second and then disappears. This happens every 3 to 5 minutes and it's driving me crazy. The laptop is less than a week old. Is this a display issue or a software issue? I attached an image of what I'm talking about. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried it and the same issue still occurs. I feel like it is a hardware issue. I tried screen recording the issue and it never appears in playback of the recording. Is their any other possibilities? Thank you in advance.

The name/model number is: HP Envy x360 2-in-1 Laptop 16-ad0xxx.

Sidenote: I realized that the issue no longer just occurs in media players. It periodically started occurring maybe once every few hours in any application and/or on the desktop screen. Its always on the same pixels as in the previous picture. Sorry for just discovering this. I thought it was only happening in media players. I decided today to used a dual display to see if the screen glitch occurs on both screens or just the laptop's screens. It only occurred on the laptop screen. This makes me believe that it is a hardware issue versus it being a software problem. This is really strange. What would cause the pixels on a small portion of the screen to misfire periodically for seemingly no reason? Thank you again in advance. I really appreciate your time.
