Hi @Archanaa,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with a screen that has keyboard and mouse board impressions on it. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue.
- Microfiber Cloth: Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth to gently wipe the screen. Make sure the cloth is clean and free from any particles that could scratch the screen.
- Screen Cleaning Solution: You can use a screen cleaning solution specifically designed for electronic devices. Apply the solution to the microfiber cloth, not directly on the screen, and gently wipe the screen.
- Isopropyl Alcohol: If the impressions persist, you can try a mixture of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water. Mix equal parts of alcohol and water, dampen the microfiber cloth (not soaking wet), and gently wipe the screen.
- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use harsh chemicals, like ammonia-based cleaners, as they can damage the screen's coating.
- Screen Protectors: Applying a screen protector can sometimes help mask or reduce the visibility of such impressions. It won't solve the issue completely, but it might make it less noticeable.
Remember to turn off your laptop and disconnect it from power before cleaning the screen to avoid any electrical issues.
If none of these solutions work and the impressions are affecting your ability to use the laptop, you might want to consider having the screen replaced.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
