Pavilion 15 CS3XX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The HP Support says that my pavilion 15-cs3xxx is a touch screen device. I cant seem to use the touch screen as it doesnt work. Do i need to turn on/off settings?

I also went to the

Device Manager>Human Interface Devices>

but there is no HID-compliant touch screen

Device Manager>Mice and other pointing devices>

but just the ELAN clickpad

hope you can help me

I was able to resolve issue by doing the following. Mine also mysteriously disappeared.

Right click on your start button icon, go to device manager.

In device manager go to the top of the windows and click "view" then click "show hidden devices" .  You should then see under HID the touch screen but it's disabled.  Double click it, go to the driver tab and then uninstall the device.  Once it's uninstalled reboot and i my case I reinstall the driver and it worked.  You may need to go back to device manager and scan for hardware changes but most of the time it's automatic.

I hope this helps!
