Hi @nitish-jaiswal,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that you are facing issues with the brightness issues.

To adjust the brightness on your HP Pavilion 14 Laptop PC-ec1000 (4V212AV), you can try the following steps:

Using Keyboard Shortcuts: Most laptops have dedicated keys or key combinations to adjust brightness. Look for keys with a sun icon or labels like "Brightness Up" and "Brightness Down." Typically, you would use the "Fn" key in combination with these keys. For example, pressing "Fn" + "F3" or "Fn" + "F4" might adjust the brightness.

Using Settings:

  • Open the Windows Settings by pressing "Windows key + I."
  • Go to "System" and then "Display."
  • Use the brightness slider to adjust the brightness level.

Update Graphics Drivers:

  • Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
  • Expand the "Display adapters" section.
  • Right-click on your graphics driver and select "Update driver."
  • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Check Power Settings:

  • Right-click on the battery icon in the system tray.
  • Select "Power Options" and then "Change plan settings" next to your current power plan.
  • Click on "Change advanced power settings."
  • Expand the "Display" section and then "Display brightness."
  • Make sure the settings are appropriate for both "On battery" and "Plugged in."

BIOS Update:

  • Go to the HP support website and check if there's a BIOS update available for your laptop model. Click here
  • Download and install the BIOS update following the instructions on the website.

If none of these steps work, there may be a hardware issue with the laptop's display or the keyboard. In that case, it's advisable to contact HP support or visit an authorized service center for assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
