I am not able to connect my external monitor with my laptop, I am using dell external monitor, I have tried with C Port, USB as well as HDMI port, But nothing works, It always says, Display connection might be limited (Make sure the display port device you are connecting to is supported by you pc). Even the port is working as i am able to connect some other thing in that port, But only external monitor i am not able to connect. Please do let me know, Why it is happening, And fix it.

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

 

Update Graphics Drivers:

  • Go to Device Manager > Display Adapters.
  • Right-click on your graphics driver and select Update Driver.
  • You can also visit HP Support website.

Check the Display Input Source:

  • Ensure the correct input source is selected on your Dell monitor (HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C, etc.).

Try a Different Cable:

  • Even though the ports are working with other devices, try using a different cable (HDMI, USB-C, etc.) to rule out a cable issue.

Ensure Compatibility:

  • Double-check that your laptop's ports are compatible with the monitor's connection.
