Pavilion Power 15-cb004nx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to disable panel self-refresh in Intel Graphics settings (Power Section) as a fix to some graphics concerns but I cannot find it.

I tried to install both the latest HP drivers and Intel generic drivers but to no avail, it is simply not there.

I don't know if HP is hiding this setting through BIOS or what but I really need to disable this setting. Thanks in advance!

@punleashed

What is your Pavilion Power 15 ?  Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:

  Please do NOT post its Serial number (s/n).

Regards.

@banhien I just edited it and added the model

Right click desktop and select Intel Graphics Settings. Click the Power option.  Panel Self-Refresh should be in the Plan settings.

Unfortunately, it's not that simple. I do that and I can't find that setting. I think it is hidden or controlled in some way. Any help?

If you can access the Intel control panel but don't see "Panel Self-Refresh" in the Power options, your Intel graphics chip may not support that feature.

If that is even possible and Intel chips are not the same, I want to disable it by any other means. If it os not there and my problems persist, then it is enabled by default and that is not acceptable. I want the panel to receive frames directly from the internal gpu and not like what it does now.

Unless your Pavilion has an IPS panel with PSR (panel self refresh technology), you aren't going to find that setting in the Intel control panel.

I have an IPS panel. I don't know whether it has PSR technology or not.  I thought PSR is an Intel technology, not a panel technology. I have Intel HD 630 and I don't think it's customized for me to not find that setting.
