I am an extremely, completely frustrated long-time HP owner (my last seven computers since the 1980s have been HPs). Now my two-year-old touchscreen laptop was damaged in a freak accident at home (not dropped) and how there is pixelation damage -- lines of discolored pixels both vertically and horizontal -- but the laptop works fine otherwise. I have taken the machine to two HP-authorized repair centers (Best Buy and Micro Center) and neither have been able to replace the display for a variety of reasons/excuses after keeping the machine for weeks. This potential repair process began in December of last year and remains unresolved. My warranty is expired, but I am willing to pay for the machine to be fixed because it's such a great laptop. Since I can't reach an HP repair department through this site, I'm hoping I can get advice on next steps as I would like to have the machine working properly ASAP. Both repair centers claimed they could not get the replacement display screen, although I have been able to find it (I think) from other online sources. HELP!
