I have been gettin a CyberLink Issue Reporter Message saying "Youcam6_webcam_camera_video.exe.has stopped working

It wants my e-mail and a problem description

I don't know if this is a scam to get my info or if it is legit.

I haven't used the webcam recently and don't even know how to check it.

Hi,

Its not a scam. Cyberlink YouCam is a bundled application that came with the computer. "Youcam6_webcam_camera_video.exe.has stopped working" means that theres a driver issue. The reason why it wants your email because its going to send a bug report. Simply go to add remove programs then uninstall it. Then go to HP website and install it again.

If you are not comfortable doing it and your computer is under warranty just give HP a call

Hope it helps.

I was getting the same error message "Youcam6_Webcam_Camera_Video.exe has stopped working".  The various web reports say uninstall "Youcam" and then reinstall.   I contacted HP support and this was the first thing that they did.  IT DID NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE.

After some research by the assistant she indicated that a prog. called "Boomerang" provided by Cyberlink was the problem.   This was uninstalled and so far everything appears to be OK.   Good luck

This prog. "Boomerang" appears to be a video prog. for gaming.  Suggest you uninstall it.
