15-db0005dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just acquired a Model 15-db005dx laptop, which does not appear to be in any of the HP laptop families. I would like to get an active pen to go with it, but it is not to be found in the list on the "HP PCs - Touchscreen Compatibility with Pen and Stylus" page in the Knowledge Base ( https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05166879 ).

As the 15-db0005dx appears to be a rather new model, I wonder if the list has not been updated since its appearance. If the list is up-to-date, then I wonder why different models are compatible with different active pens, and why some models are not compatible with any of them. (Actually, I wonder that in any case.)

Thank you.

I have chatted with an HP tech support representative. My laptop is not compatible with an active pen. He noted that the compatibility list is out of date. I suggested that they add a list of models that specifically are not compatible with active pens so all models would be mentioned on the page in reference to active pens, and that they put the date on the lists when they update them. Hopefully he will be successful in escalating the issue so as to increase the information available to HP users.

I've asked about your query regarding inclusion of newer models in the list, to HP.

Please wait few days while I get a proper response to this.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I should have thought of that myself.  I'll give them some time to address the currentness of the list.
