Hi @981kate,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with the touchpad driver on your HP Pavilion 360 after a Windows 11 update, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve driver-related issues. Restart your laptop and check if the touchpad is working after the reboot.

Check Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
  • Look for the "Mice and other pointing devices" category.
  • Locate your touchpad (it might be listed as "Synaptics" or "HID-compliant touchpad").
  • If there is a yellow triangle or an error icon, right-click on the touchpad, and choose "Update driver" or "Uninstall device" (you can reinstall the driver later).

Windows Update:

  • Make sure your Windows 11 is up to date. Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates.
  • Install any pending updates, including optional updates.

HP Support Assistant:

  • HP laptops often come with a utility called HP Support Assistant. Open it and check for driver updates, especially for the touchpad.
  • Install any recommended updates.

Reinstall Touchpad Drivers:

  • Download the latest touchpad drivers for your HP Pavilion model from the HP support website.
  • Install the downloaded drivers and restart your laptop.

System Restore:

  • If the issue occurred recently after a Windows update, you might consider using System Restore to revert your system to a previous state.
  • Open the Control Panel, go to "System and Security," and then select "System." Click on "System Protection" and choose "System Restore."

Rollback Driver:

  • If you recently updated the touchpad driver and the issue started afterward, you can try rolling back to the previous driver version.
  • In Device Manager, right-click on the touchpad, choose "Properties," go to the "Driver" tab, and click "Roll Back Driver" if the option is available.

Remember to create a backup of your important data before making significant changes to your system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
