HP Recommended

I have just bought an HP Zbook Fury 16 mobile workstation. It has a Nvidia RTX 4000 Ada Generation Laptop GPU. The installed driver is v566.24 (22 Nov 2024).

I tried to install the Nvidia AI program ChatRTX. It wouldn't install, unless the driver version is 572.16 or greater. The latest driver on the HP site, recommended for my laptop, is 32.0.15.6624 Rev W, which I think translates to v 566.24 - but this is dated 6 Jan 2025. Clearly, this does not meet the requirement for using ChatRTX.

However, on the Nvidia site, there is another driver - 572.83 released on 18 March 2025.  The release notes for this driver say it is compatible with my  Nvidia RTX 4000 Ada Generation Laptop GPU, but this does not seem to have been certified on the HP site. [ie, it is not even listed]. Nvidia describe this as a "Nvidia RTX Enterprise Driver Release 570, Version 572.83".  It is also described as a "Production Branch/Studio" release.

My question is, would it be safe to download and instal this 572.83 version, direct from Nvidia, and is there any reason why HP has not certified these 570 series  drivers.

I suspect the clue could be "Enterprise" - in other words, maybe they are more suited to larger organisation use?  Nvidia seem to have 2 types of driver release - Production Branch/Studio and New Features Branch. The Production Branch seem to be major releases, while New Feature are released to cover specific issues. The rev numbers of the drivers recommended by HP seem to only be of the New Features variety - which seems a bit odd. Is there a problem with using the Production Branch/Studio drivers on HP laptops?
