HP Spectre x360 16 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 16-f0000 RCTO Base Model
Microsoft Windows 11

I teach a lot of classes through Zoom. In class we show excerpts from YouTube videos as examples for students using the screen share function. About 6 months ago I started having problems with video's stopping every 7 seconds (about). I thought perhaps this was an issue with my laptop at the time, a 6 year old HP Pavillion 360 with slow processor and almost full harddrive. So I upgraded to a HP Spectre x360 16 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 16-f0000, with 1T HD, 16 RAM and Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11390H @ 3.40GHz, 3418 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s).

However, this has solved the problem. So far I have

  1.  Worked with MS incase it was issue with Windows 11 update - No!
  2. Changed internet provider - now shows reliably over 300 on speedtest, so it's not an issue there.
  3. Had 2 month email conversation with Zoom and they have no explanation. We had some success when they sent me a much older version of Zoom to try, but the problem with that is that I no longer have any of the improvements they've made since that version and anyway it's stopped working again now.
  4. After multiple screenshot video's, logg checking and research on their part they say they haven't had any other reports of this issue.
  5. Zoom suggested using their video player, which requires downloaded videos.
  6. So, Upgraded my YouTube account, to paid account, incase it was an something they were doing. Also, checked researched YouTube settings for this issue and made suggested changes I'd found.
  7. Downloaded video's I wanted to use and used the Zoom video player - STILL NOT WORKING!

To clarify this is what I want to be able to do:

Open Zoom meeting,

share screen,

open a browser to YouTube or open YouTube app (any browser, I've tried the 3 I use)

Play short video for students

Stop share

Disscuss

This is something I was able to do consistently for 18 months. And also something my co-workers are still able to do.

Is there a setting on the Spectre x360 that I'm missing?

Is this related to the Windows 11 issue with playing video's using windows media player? Haven't even started to deal with that yet!

Has anyone else had this issue?

Any ideas where I can go to solve this?
