HI.

I want my hp monitor to be detected to my laptop but it won't detect it... i want to connect my monitor to my laptop.

and all the cables are connected well. but the problem is that is won't detect my monitor.

I have found an solution but the solution is for pc and not laptop here is why: i must go to my bios settings wich ik how to get in it- in my lapto,p but in my laptop it doesn't show a setting called igd multi-monitor see photo. so how do i find those in my hp bios settings?? or maybe another solution to connect my display because it is not detecting it. name of display: HP L1945wv.

I have plugged the vga into a vga to hdmi adapter because my laptop supports only hdmi so that is not the problem. and the led and screen got on from the monitor.

but maybe i need to select the vga option in the display?? i don't know how to do that and didn't do it soo... maybe because of it.unknown.png

Hi,

Please check that HDMI- VGA adapter if it working with other units if possible or if you have a TV that support VGA you try to connect your unit it via that adapter and check if it works.

Beside that Make sure that your BIOS and graphic drivers if they are up to date?

Regard,

yes i did check it that way with my brother monitor and the same cables/adapter that i use work with my brothers monitor  so that is not the problem 😞

but do u know how to get that advanced settings i showed you in bios?

By any chance do you know what is your brothers monitor model? is it HP monitor too?

for the HP BIOS settings there are no advanced setting like the video. Even the BIOS setting in the Video is for specific motherboard it is not something general for every motherboard.

Do you know by any chance you BIOS version?
