Hello i just bought recently this laptop but there's no touch screen in it and i checked if it's a software issue but it's not.
The dealer is telling me that is laptop came from the factory with non-touch screen but i checked the product specs and it says that it has a touch screen so im confused
So please help me to know what's going on

Go to the below site and enter your serial number. Look for the display,
If more then one display then one might be touch and the other non-touch
https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer/
For example
M45453-001 | LCD PANEL KIT 15.6 FHD UWVA 400 TS |
TS means touch screen but you can search the web for M45453-001 to verify

Hello,
It says that it has a touch screen,
Photo : -N/A-
Part Number : M45452-001
Part Description :
LCD PANEL KIT 15.6 FHD UWVA 250 TS
CSR : N
So what's causing the touch screen not to work, is it a hardware issue or it could be a software related?
Can it be fixed?
The screen by itself really amazing and works perfectly fine except for the touch
Could you please help me identify the issue so i can fix it by myself because the dealer didn't recognise the issue or maybe he's not telling the truth behind it
Thank you for your time

Have you run diagnostics?
Tap the ESC key after powering on to run diagnostics.
Do not allow any updates if disk or memory fail, especially a BIOS update.
The touch screen should be one of the tests

HP releases newer UEFI diagnostics periodically.
When you select F2 during boot you are requesting UEFI diagnostics.
There is an updated diagnostics package here
https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/hp-pc-hardware-diagnostics
Look for the phrase 'issues outside the OS',
Expand the'+'symbol and click the DOWNLOAD button.
The version of the UEFI diagnostics is shown at the left of that DOWNLOAD button.
When you press F2 to run diagnostics please ensure the version is the new one.
If no touch screen test then you do not have touch screen.
Possibly a repaired laptop had a non-touch screen attached. It would be sold at a discount with a notice about the modification unless the seller was unaware. If you want touch screen then return it if you can else ask for a discount.
