Hi I'm italian so I will try to explain my situation the best I can.
I've bought a Omen 17-w102nl model and I've immediatly notice a noise in the image like very soft but it's in there, and even a low sharpness.
So I begun to change different level of sharpness and noise reduction on the Nvidia controll panel and yes there was an improvment after but the quality remain very poor and artifacts appear on the screen with a high level of sharpness.
So Iv'e reach the device manager> Graphic Card but there was only the gtx 1070 and then I've speak with a guy of Nvidia and he said I needed to uninstall the Nvidia drivers with display driver uninstaller for incompatibility issues and then install first the Intel driver on this page https://support.hp.com/it-it/drivers/selfservice/omen-by-hp-17-w100-laptop-pc/12499486/model/1319100...
and then the Nvidia 22.21.13.8205 driver. I've tried to install the intel driver after using DDU but this message pop up after the installation bar reach the end "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the softwar"
So now I have updated again the Nvidia drivers and tried again to install the intell drivers but the same message keeps poping up blocking the installation, so what can I do to fix this?

Hi @Lex92,
I reviewed the super quick reply. Thanks for responding. You've done commendably well by displaying remarkable technical competence, a never say die spirit coupled with immense patience to try and resolve the issue. Kudos to you for a job well done. 🙂
Please don't update the monitors in device manager.
Simply delete the graphics drivers in device manager and update the display adapter driver from the HP support site and check again.
As you stated games look good on both the TV and the notebook, then this could be a browser related issue.
Please try these steps:
First, reset the browser that you are using to factory settings and check again if the YouTube streaming gets fixed.
If it does not then try the latest version of a different browser like Google Chrome or Firefox.
If you are using one these browsers, uninstall and reinstall the browser and check again.
Also if the issue persists, try to create a new local user account as an administrator from here http://hp.care/2wXjDxW and check again if the issue gets fixed.
These steps should do the trick for you.
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.
Take care and have a blessed week ahead. 🙂

Hi @Lex92,
Good Day. Thank you for posting your query in the HP community. I read the post regarding display issues with images being displayed at low resolution on the computer. I will be delighted to assist you here.
Superb description and commendable diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂
For better clarity and to assist you correctly, I would require more information regarding this:
- Did you update the display drivers from the HP support site and check again?
- Did you try to use the switchable graphics feature?
For now, try these steps:
- Please uninstall the ACPI battery drivers from device manager.
- Reset all power plans to factory defaults and then select high-performance option power from power options from this link: http://hp.care/2rUUbXB
- Right-Click on start button> click device manager> expand display adapters>then select the display drivers that are listed and right-click on it and uninstall the drivers.
- Check the box that states delete the software for this device.
- Then restart the computer and update the bios chipset and graphics drivers from this link: http://hp.care/2syreDe and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Then check if the issue gets resolved.
- If it persists, connect the computer to an external display such as a TV via an HDMI cable.
- If the display is good on the TV then the screen of the notebook hs a problem and not the graphics card.
- Also follow this link: http://hp.care/2tz01So to use switchable graphics and check again
Finally, if nothing works, perform a system recovery to factory settings from here http://hp.care/2xG04ty and update all the drivers using Hp support assistant from the HP support site.
Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, Going by your technical expertise and competence I am sure you will be able to perform these steps without breaking a sweat.

Hi thanks for the help, I would prefer to do the first things you said before the steps you listed but I don't really know where I can find the display drivers.
In this link https://support.hp.com/it-it/drivers/selfservice/omen-by-hp-17-w100-laptop-pc/12499486/model/1319100... I just see the section drivers related to the graphic card but I'm not seeing the monitor section.
And if I go on device manager > monitor > generic monitor pug and play > update driver appear that I've already the last drivers and that the monitor is working properly.
If I connect the laptop on my tv the quality is pretty much the same, games on the other end, appears to look's good on the laptop and on tv. But videos streaming on twitch (even source resolution), videos on youtube at max resolution have a bad sharpness and noise. 720p videos are surprisingly bad.
I don't know how to enable the switchable graphic feature.
Again, thanks for the help!
