I forgot the password on my laptop and did a system reset. Now I can't connect to the internet. I keep getting a message "windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter you will need to reinstall the driver " I can't figure out how to do this

Hi:
The parts list for your notebook indicates that it comes with an Intel Wi-Fi Link 1000 802.11b/g/n WLAN module.
Here is the link to the Windows 7 driver for that model Wi-Fi adapter:
Intel Wireless Drivers for Microsoft Windows 7
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp58501-59000/sp58782.exe
You can download the file from another PC, copy it to a USB flash drive, plug the flash drive into your notebook that needs the driver and run it from there.
