HP Envy m6 Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

I have a HP Envy m6 Notebook currently operating on Windows 10 (64-bit), genuine OS is Windows 8.

Seems like the HP TrueVision HD Camera Driver is no longer installed, is there any way to get it back?? Currently, the device that is downloaded is SPCA2082 PC Camera.

Problem: On the Windows Camera app, Skype, Zoom, nothing shows up.

Things I have done:

- went to Device Manager --> Cameras --> SPCA2082 PC Camera --> Update driver (says everything has been updated and the device is working properly, but clearly it isn't)

- downloaded YouCam and YouCam Driver 6.0. This appears in the Device Manager under Sound, Video, and Game Controllers. I attempted to update this driver too and it says everything has been updated. Also, I opened up YouCam and nothing appears in the area where the camera should be. Also, I can't even open up YouCam 6.0 app no matter how many times I click on it. I know YouCam worked in the past but idk if it is because it is now a paid version so thats why nothing appears?

if this can be fixed, PLEASE let me know! I need to use the laptop for school as it requires an integrated webcam for exams. Thank you.

Hi @cjlesyeux

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to help you with the webcam issue.

Please try these steps - HP PCs - Webcam Troubleshooting

If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding this.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
