Hi there, 

having HP Spectre X360 16f1xxxx with WIn11 22H2 an error of :no cameras are attached 0xa00f4244  started to appear.  It seems like a SW issue, here are the symptoms:

Camera app or WIn Hello do not work - they cannot find the camera

Win settings - Bluetooth devices - Cameras - no cameras found

Device manager - camera EXISTS! All drivers updated (both automatically and manually) -no isues here. Really funny when it says "your device works perfectly" when the camera cannot be turned on. It is a brand new laptop. The risk of HW malfunction (especially given by tne enormous reference of the same issue on the web) seems nonsense.

Anybody able to help?

I tried

- drivers update

- no, I am not stupid, the dead switch is on...

- no limits in the rights for the camera

- no issue with firewall or antivirus

- tried few Registry tricks as well

- tried troubleshooting, useless

No need to repeat those tricks.
