As I said in previous posts, Microsoft and Intel are looking the other way when it comes to this issue. I suspect it is due to the cost to actually fix the issue especially if it is involved in any hardware fixes. It seems to be a chip issue because so far all the software fixes have been useless and in some cases caused more problems.
Here are the specific items addressed by tha latest "Microsoft update to win 10" as shown on their site
Improved reliability in numerous areas, including OS and Windows Update installation, startup, installing and configuring Windows for the first time, authentication, resuming from hibernation, shutdown, kernel, Start menu, storage, Windows Hello, display modes, Miracast, AppLocker, Internet Explorer 11, Microsoft Edge browser, network connectivity and discovery, and File Explorer.
Improved performance in video thumbnail generation, NetLogon, Windows Store, and standby power consumption.
Improved support for devices including some wearables, displays, and printer scenarios.
Reset app default when a registry setting is deleted or corrupted and streamlined notification about the corruption.
Fixed an issue causing favorites to be lost after updates are installed.
Fixed several issues that individually could cause certain apps to fail to launch, update, or allow in-app purchases.
Improved quality of Cortana voices and translations of multiple languages of an Internet Explorer dialog box.
Improved support for apps, fonts, graphics and display, airplane mode, Group Policy, PowerShell MDM, Windows Journal, Microsoft Edge, printing, touch display, roaming credentials, Push-Button Reset, Windows UX, local and streaming video, audio quality, error reporting, USMT, and VHD creation.
You will notice not a single word about this issue. It seems Microsoft and other are leaning toward cell phone and other wearables directed to using windows as a basic OS.
I have this latest and still see the problem. Until MS or Intel specifically addresses and states it is directed for this issue it may be a while.

With the the recent upgrade KB3140743 on March 1 and my installing the latest INTEL driver 20.19.15.4300, I have not experienced this particular problem any longer.
My issues were when using a browser as I am not a gamer.
I have had to switch from Firefox to Chrome, as I was still experiencing display problems with Firefox but could not determine if this was a Firefox issue or the display driver. Slow redrawing, screen freezing which seem to be related.
As you showed, Microsoft did not specifically address the driver issue althoough they did reference
Improved support for apps, fonts, graphics and display
Had been waiting to see if I was having any problems before posting again.
As it has been quiet here, thought that others were no longer having this problem or had just resigned to it not being fixed on their computer.

Ditto AlanL1, I found unchecking hardware accelleration sorted it, Im gonna turn it back on as I just updated, fingers crossed

I called HP support AGAIN and this time the rep tried to fix the display issue with what he said was new updated drivers.
sp72854
the update SEEMS to have eliminated the error messaege but some web pages do load with some display issues like double display in one or two sections.
I will see if it does cause anything else and post the problem but for now it is bette than it was before at least so far.

tsac
I show that this HP version sp72854 does not list it supporting my HP Envy laptop and is only listed on the HP Enterprise Support page.
It shows that it is installing driver version 4268 Rev.F (11 Sep 2015)
The Intel version I loaded was driver version 4300 which is Intel lists as the most recent version.
Good to see that HP is beginning to catch up. Let us know if it works

The SP was listed on the site for a small amount of HP computers but my suspicion is there are more to the list than whats shown. There are also two different release dates shown .
If the computer uses the Intel 4600 for display then unless there is another software pack that will interfere It may be something to try. again I do see some display issues but not the original one.
These two are the links for the January 2016 release

I have tried a few different service packs without luck and also found it to be worse. I would suggest you revert back to the previous drivers. In the driver details tab you should see a way to revert back to the older driver. If it is not open ( not highlighted ) then go to the HP site and download the latest available for your system keeping in mind the OS and other versions on your pc.
