Dgood
Based on the number of other comments on this board regarding this issue, HP has significantly dropped the ball on this.
I was extremely disappointed in the answer you received from the HP Support Agent.
Reverting the system back to Windows 8.1 was not an acceptable option.
Would be 'nice' if they could post a date that a fix might be available.

I too am having the same issue with a brand new HP Envy desktop and the Intel HD 4600 Graphics driver.
Reading this particular thread leads me to believe HP has no intention of even attempting to fix this issue.

so HP does not have any fix. Not good. anyone in HP have an idea when this will be fixed.
current lapop is a Zbook and the error is generated everytime a graphic is on the screen.
The failure to fix this is frustrating. The hP rep replys shown on the forum are going around in circles.
My suspicion is the cost to fix this is something HP does not want to have. Spending $2500 on a laptop that is unsupported is not a good business model HP needs
Any HP replys on a date for a fix?

I also am having this problem. Tried several things with no luck. I am another disgusted HP user. This is my 3rd laptop from them and it will probably be the last because of their reluctance to fix problems.

Ok now for the fun stuff. I received an email from HP support asking me if the solution FAsuccess posted worked for me.
HP must be lost on this one. I also did a support chat and was told it's not an HP issue and to call Intel.
What a runaround.

Intel's general comment has been
"Intel provides generic versions of drivers for general purposes. Your computer manufacturer may have altered the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes to your driver. Intel recommends you contact your computer manufacturer for the latest system specific updates and technical support information."
Has anyone tried the beta intel Driver
Intel® Beta Graphics Driver for Windows® 7/8.1/10* [15.40]

I downloaded this driver and at least on my HP laptop with windows 10 the message once tried is "this driver is not compatible with current software"
win64_154010 is supposed to be ok with win10 and the processor i have but aparently not.
It was released in December based on the Intel site.
I will try the one suggested by AlanL1

Update,
the same message is displayed. Not validated for this computer" Setup will not allow it to continue.
this looks like HP must validate any drivers before they will be allowed. so not the ball is back in HP's court.
Want to bet how this turns out?
The runaround continues.
