Tested? I would say the need to push out the Win10 and make money is the only reason Microsoft failed to test properly. when a company is all bottom line this is what we get. Junk.

Sadly none of the computer companys including HP are doing anthing to push either Intel or Microsoft.

Now for the fun part. Even if we do slow down or load a drver that works it will be only a matter of time before Microsoft downloads another untested driver or update and causes the problem all over.

Very frustrating and even worse HP support people are missing in action. You will notice they dropped off at the beginning of this blog post.  One would hope they at least offer some bit of info on what HP is doing.

Ever since the last windows update ive been getting this problem non stop. Updated every driver possible and it still isn't working properly.

Windows 10 was tested, i was one of the testers and as always with a new OS release its not a issue with the OS but the drivers provided. Windows 10 uses the latest drivers available but if there are issues in those drivers its due to the manufacturer releasing a faulty driver.

The issue here is that Intel need to release a new driver and then HP need to certify it for there products, increasing the time before a actual fix is released or in this case, the blame game...

"The issue here is" whatever the drivers windows shouldn't have stopped it working. For machines to have this issue straight out of the box isn't good and reflects badly on Microsof as this issue is happening across multiple drivers and platforms AMD included.

Threezool,

The issue is  simple. ALL the company's should be working to address this issue. Yes it  is an Intel problem but Microsoft is not helping to solve the problem it is creating with updates against untested drivers. And yes it isnt one computer manufacturer that has the issue. We have asked for help in multiple support sites including Microsoft and when the "tech person" tells you to revert back to the older OS then its just a stall. Not everyone who writes on this and other blogs are beginners and are new to computers and the OS issues new releases create.

If you think for a minute that these company's including Microsoft are more concerned with anything besides the bottom line then your being very foolish.

Read the various posts and you will see various suggestions which people have tried and in most cases failed or worked until microsoft released a new update. This is something that unless honestly addressed by both Intel and Microsoft will reoccur again and again. Frustrating users who must turn off just about every interaction between various functions which should offer new features or speed up the computer.

You want to ask another question. heres one, why is Explorer 11 failing to download quick on the same computer  with Win10. Google Chrome on the same computer download quick and complete.  Do you think Microsoft is trying to push users to the new Edge browser? You know the one with less capability and simple user options we have had for years.  Could it be less cost to support or have better marketing option's for adds?

Updates are pushed out to the users because the manufacturer has signed of on the drivers being good for the market after testing. Microsoft is only a distributor of the drivers and has no to little insight in the testing being done of the drivers prior to release.

Why Intel and HP has not rolled back the update is for me a mystery so that we at least can use a older but working driver. Its like complaining to video game retailers for a bug in a game that they only sell and distribute but has no authority over whats actually included in the game.

Regarding the browser and why on earth you would want to use IE over ANY other browser is for me a mystery, even Edge in its current state is better than IE and i'm using Edge now as my daily browser. But if i do encounter a site requiring specific plugins i just switch to Chrome and then back again when i'm done.

But download speed varies deppending on the server placement, the bandwith and how much load its currently under. Making a rant out of it just show that you don't realy know what you are talking about.

P.S - I'm a software developer myself.

Amazing. So Microsoft has no responsibility to test major interaction software against their product.

As for your experience, don't let it go to your head. If you think people here are all newbies then you need to realize  some of us are in technical positions including managing software developers.

As for the comments we make, they are attempts to have HP and other company's read the user frustration and act. We are not picking on software developers or the select few who tested Win10.

The fact this has happened over every Major rlz of windows win 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 to me that's enough time for developers whoever they are to get a grip on this.   What's frustrating is If windows wants to push updates on us then them same updates souldn't make in some cases our hardware unusable.  Imagine buying a brand new machine out of the box, turn it on for the first time,  then windows forces an update down your throat and bang :Crying: unacceptable as far as I'm concerned.  Back to linux :LaughingTears:

The past day or two my computer stops working for just a second or two, then the message about driver pops up and disappears immediately and I am back to the original screen - no closing and reopening.  All of this over a span of no more than 2 seconds.  Maybe this means HP or windows is really trying to fix it.  Anyone else experiencing this positive development?
