HP EliteBook 8760w Base Model Mobile Workstation

Hi folks,

the internal diplay of my 8760w (NVidia 3000M) is dead or sometimes shows the same graphics in 4 small horizontal regions. The external display is ok.

Is this a connection problem of the internal display or is the graphics card defective?

I managed to "repair" the device myself by fixing all the connections on the back of the display panel. It has been a contact problem obviously which came from a hard impact of the device on a table I made a few days ago.

Now its working again perfectly like many years before. Fantastic product with excellent repair possibilities!

Well you can try these following fix:

  1. Fix connection issues with the monitor.
  2. Refresh the screen via Windows key sequence.
  3. Roll back the display driver/adapter (via Safe Mode)
  4. Prompt a System Restore
