I recently upgraded my operating system to windows 11 using windows update and a BIOS update to my laptop using HP Support Assistant. After a month or less, I noticed that my internal display are flickering, have horizontal lines, screen freezing, and black/ blank screen display. I did some troubleshooting on my part. I connected my laptop to a external monitor and It works perfectly fine, same as to my laptop's display after I plugged in to HDMI to external monitor. The issue is gone temporarily. Then after I unplugged it, the issue on the internal monitor of my laptop are back. After some research and troubleshooting. The only thing that got my internal monitor behave is when I turn my internal display's refresh rate to 60hz instead of 144hz and when I revert It back to 144hz, the issue is back again. When every time I boot the laptop at 60hz, the hp logo is nowhere to be seen because of the issue and as well to the BIOS. I also can't play games on 60hz because of the issue. But I can use the laptop on normal use like using MS Office apps, editing, browsing etc.
The issue started right after the warranty ended (after 1 year of usage).
So, what is/are the possible fixes for this?
