Hi, 

 

I have hp pavilion 14--bf0xx i5-7200cpu, 16gb Ram, Nvidia 940MX, V1.4B HDMI and USB 3.1 GEN1 Type C. I would like to connect my computer to LG 34''  Wide Full HD 2560 x 1080p. 

 

In this facts, 

1- Is it compatible ?

2- If not, Can i still connect it and get 1920px resolution in wide screen ?

What is your Pavilion 14-bf0xx ? For example

 

               HP Pavilion - 14-bf013ns

 

Your machine is very close to the above machine. Its USB-C port is hopeless that leaves you with HDMI port which is HDMI v1.4b supporting up to 1920×1080 @ 60Hz. (from manual).

 

As you know when resolution goes up, refresh rate will go down and vice versa therefore you won't get high refresh rate when connect to the LG 34'' Wide Full HD 2560 x 1080p monitor.
