HP USB-C Dock G5

I recently purchased an OMEN Transcend Laptop 14-fb000 along with an HP USB-C Dock G5. There were very limited specs available on the HP website regarding the G5 Dock, but it said "compatible with HP laptops".

When I connect 2 monitors, a keybord and a mouse through the docking station, the monitors and the peripherals all function properly. However shortly after logging on, I get the following message from the HP System Event Utility:
"For full performance, connect a higher capacity power adapter. Your computer will run in reduce performance mode and might not charge."

The power adapter feeding the USB-C Dock G5 is 120 watt power adapter.
The power adapter that came with the OMEN G5 is 140 watts.

Why would HP sell me a docking station that is not capable of powering the laptop that I was purchasing on the same order?

How do I get the performance from the USB-C Dock G5 that I paid for?
