Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So, on my laptop the 2 brightness buttons do not work at all anymore. Changing the battery settings don't work either. So I heard that it might be a drivers issue, but when I try to install the drivers on the website, it just loads infinitely and giving me the lines, "HP is compiling your results. This could take up to 3 minutes, depending on your computer and connection speed. Thank you for your patience". So now I can't change the brightness and can't install the drivers to see if that's the issue.

Hi:

The driver page works just fine for me on Microsoft Edge.

If your notebook's graphics drivers are installed, the only suggestion I can offer would be to see if installing the HP system event utility gets the brightness keys to work.

This is a newer version of the driver than what is on your notebook's support page.

After downloading the event utility and it not working, I found some more evidence. When trying to use the brightness slider, it is completely grayed out so I can't even move it. I'm guessing this is something to do with a setting that must have turned on or just something that messed up but still don't know how to get the buttons to work again.
