Hp Omen 15 DC-10xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

So, I bought this machine about four months ago. All working perfectly fine. I even expanded the storage, all great. I always used the RGB of the backlight of the keyboard set to the one that already comes pre-set in the PC but, a few days ago I got kinda bored of it and tried to make my keyboard all white. I suddenly realize that most part of my keyboard looks yellowish. The side of the left looks the whitest, the middle section looks really yellow and the right section also looks a bit yellowish. Can anyone explain if this is a manufacturing problem, if its common with this type of machine - as I've seen another thread here with, also, a HP Omen 15-DCXXXX. And what I should do instead.

Yes, it's all set to the same type of white.

@alxlands Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are facing issues with the keyboard backlight.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

First, let’s be sure that your notebook is up to date Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 10).

Follow the link given below:

I would recommend you to try the steps below.

1)    Shutdown the notebook and then disconnect ALL external devices.

2)    Press & hold the on/off button for 10secs.

3)    Release from pressing it then quickly press it again to turn it on.

This hopefully should fix it.

Let me know how that pans out,
