Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve the delay on the connected monitor when scrolling up and down web pages or word documents. I have connected my new laptop (HP Paviljon 16t-ab100, 16" Ultra 7 155H 3.80 GHz with Windows 11) to a second monitor via a Kensington docking station. When I scroll up and down a web page there is no lag on the screen of the laptop but there is a 2-5 seconds lag on the connected monitor. It does not lag every time I scroll but about 60% of the time.

@Mariusmeij, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding a connection issue with the monitor!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand how frustrating that lag can be, especially when it's only happening on the external monitor. Let's try a few steps to narrow down the issue and hopefully get it sorted out:
Check the refresh rate:
- Right-click on your desktop and select Display settings.
- Scroll down to Advanced display settings.
- Make sure the refresh rate for your external monitor is set to the highest available option.
Update your graphics drivers:
- Open Device Manager (right-click on the Start button).
- Expand Display adapters.
- Right-click your graphics card and select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
Try a direct connection:
- If possible, try connecting the monitor directly to the laptop (without the docking station) to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the docking station is causing the delay.
Adjust the scaling settings:
- In Display settings, make sure the scaling and resolution settings for the external monitor match its native resolution.
- Sometimes mismatched settings can cause lag.
Disable hardware acceleration:
- In your browser (like Chrome), go to Settings > System and turn off Use hardware acceleration when available.
- This can sometimes improve scrolling performance.
Give these steps a try and let me know how it goes! If the issue persists, we can dig a bit deeper. 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!
