Microsoft Windows 11

Hi  everyone,

My HP laptop was working perfectly fine earlier, but when I lightly touched the screen, it suddenly cracked, and now the display looks damaged with a black, ink-like blotch (see attached image). Worse, my laptop won’t turn on anymore.

I have all my university assignments saved on this device, and I really need to access that work urgently. Can anyone please suggest what I can do? Is there any chance to repair it or recover my data? I’m really stressed out and would appreciate any advice!

Thanks in advance.

Connect an external monitor (or TV) to it and try to turn it on.  If it will not turn on with an external monitor then you'll have to remove the hard drive and attach it to USB adapter so you can access your files using another system.

If it's a real emergency you can buy a used identical*** laptop and put your old drive in it for a quick fix.

Or contact the closest authorized service center

If taking in for warranty service, make sure you get to keep your hard drive and it is not discarded during the repair.

***does not have to be identical. Could even be a disk top system as long as win11 capable even Intel or AMD but if not identical then may take a while for  windows to download the correct drivers.
