Troubleshooting black screen issues on HP Notebooks: Click here to view the instructions!
HP Recommended

My wife and I purchased the same laptops a few years ago.  At some point, the screens began to flcker.  I did so much work trying to fix.  Both had the same issue.  I started a conversation here, years ago  Support always gave me a solution to try.  I did them all but none fixed the problem.  At some point, I gave up.  I notice that the HP Tech folks marked it as solved.  Not correct.

The post is closed and has this same name.  Other than run me through all of the same steps, is there an answer? Again, this is two laptops.

Actually, I see that I thanked the support people for suggesting that I update the bios.  That fixed it for a while.  I wish to give up as I just have the things sitting until I decide to trash them.

Did not see a "Delete this post button".

Someone with the exact same problem found that the Intel Drive and Support Assistant would cure this.  This fixed my 2 laptops.
