HP Pavilion G6-1354ef
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi Team, I am recently facing an display issue with my HP Pavilion G6-1354ef notebook. Recently when I start my laptop it shows that the screens are up and windows are startup as usual but noting visible on the screen. It shows that screen have light in laptop display and sometime windows display come up proper but not all the time.

It works 1-2 time and that time, I have formatted its window as i thought it may due to some graphics driver problem but now I am able to see anything on the screen after start and it sometime shows the display coming up/flicking but nothing visible.

Please see the issue at

I have also tried removing batteries and resetting laptop, swapping RAM but nothing helps. Can anyone please suggest if it could be a display screen problem or some VGA card?

Thanks

@RKMehta, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

It seems like the computer is not able to complete the POST process. This indicates a hardware issue. Let us try these steps:

Remove discs and devices

  1. Turn off the computer.

  2. Remove any discs and USB devices.

  3. Remove memory cards from the card reader slot.

  4. Disconnect all non-essential devices such as printers, scanners, external hard drives.

  5. Leave only the mouse, keyboard, and monitor connected.

After you have removed all discs and devices, turn on the computer.

  • If the computer starts, reconnect devices one at a time, to determine which disc or device is causing the problem. If the issue is solved, troubleshooting is complete.

  • If the computer still does not start and exhibits the same problem, press and hold the Power button to turn off the computer. Do not connect anything, and then continue troubleshooting.

Power reset the computer as shown in this document. If the computer boots into windows, run an extensive test. Refer to Testing for Hardware Failures.

If the issue persists, please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
