Trying to use my laptop with usb-c dock g5. Able to use keyboard and mouse connected to dock g-5 but nothing display from laptop to external monitors connected to dock g-5. Able to use newer HP laptop with docking station with no issues.

What model of laptop do you have? Not all models have a USB-C port compatible with DisplayPort. If your notebook does not have one, you cannot transmit images.
