Hi @MythicalCell ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing two issues after reinstalling your HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk10000 Laptop: a display refresh rate issue and a Bluetooth connectivity problem. Here's how to approach each one:
1. Screen Refresh Rate Stuck at 60Hz
This usually happens if the correct display drivers aren't installed or updated after reinstalling the operating system.
Steps to fix the display refresh rate:
Update Graphics Drivers:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Display adapters.
- Right-click your graphics card (e.g., NVIDIA or Intel) and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
Adjust Refresh Rate:
- Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
- Scroll down and click on Advanced display settings.
- Under Refresh rate, check if there's an option higher than 60Hz (e.g., 120Hz, 144Hz). If there isn’t, the correct driver might not be installed yet.
2. Bluetooth Connectivity Issues
If your Bluetooth is saying it's connected but isn't functioning correctly, this could be a driver or pairing issue.
Steps to fix Bluetooth connectivity:
Update Bluetooth Drivers:
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Bluetooth.
- Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter and choose Update driver.
- Select Search automatically for drivers.
Re-pair the Bluetooth Device:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
- Locate the device you're trying to connect, select it, and click Remove device.
- Turn off Bluetooth, then turn it back on.
- Re-pair the device by selecting Add Bluetooth or other device.
Run Bluetooth Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
- Find Bluetooth, click on it, and select Run the troubleshooter.
After following these steps, your laptop should hopefully support a higher refresh rate and have a stable Bluetooth connection.

I hope this helps.
