I’ve been using an external monitor that connects to my Omen by HP gaming laptop 16. N000 for the past 8 months without problem. Running at 144hz no issues on any games played. Recently out of nowhere when I connect it via HDMI cable, it drops to single digit FPS and has stuttering. I’ve reinstalled windows, rollback both graphics cards updates, made sure each were updated fully before that, tried new HDMI cables, tried a different monitor, and made sure all my display settings are within range of the laptop. As soon as I unplug that cable to display only on my integrated monitor, everything bounces back to normal. Anyone else struggle with this? I’m going crazy with the amount of time I’ve spent without getting anywhere.
